Gardener's Supply was founded in 1983 by a handful of enthusiastic Vermont gardeners. Today, we serve millions of gardeners nationwide, offering everything from seed starting supplies and garden furniture to flower supports and greenhouses. Though our company has grown, we remain passionately committed to providing garden-tested, earth-friendly products that will help our customers have more fun and success in their gardens.

We understand the products that we sell because we use them in our own gardens. Regular product training sessions and a comprehensive gardening certification program help us provide the best service and support in the business.

Working with customers, market gardeners, universities, manufacturers and suppliers throughout the world, we provide smart, garden-tested solutions for most every gardening challenge. In 18 years, Gardener's Supply has designed and introduced dozens of innovative, exclusive gardening products, including self-watering patio planters, a complete line of flower supports, composters, grow lights, professional growing mediums, organic fertilizers and more.

We maintain a Product Design and Development Department and test gardens. We also operate our own manufacturing facility in Georgia, Vt. where we produce garden carts, greenhouses, raised beds and garden sheds.

We also donate 10 percent of our pre-tax profits to gardening, sustainable agriculture, food, environmental and hunger-related causes.

Making a Difference in Our Own Backyard
Gardener’s Supply is located in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. Our offices, warehouse, and retail store are at the edge of an 800-acre floodplain known as the Intervale. This rich combination of farmland and wetlands has been under cultivation for at least 700 years. Over the past 15 years, Gardener’s Supply has led a community-wide effort to revitalize this unique natural resource, and support the growth of local, sustainable agriculture.
